ON PHOTOGRAPHY

I used to carry around this quote from an old photo magazine I bought in high school. It was a quote from William Albert Allard about his philosophy on photography and he said something like, 'the light is God-given and the people are wearing whatever they decided that morning.' I think this pretty much sums up my thoughts on what I love about photography, which is to capture authentic moments. I believe that these real-life spontaneous moments exist everywhere I turn. My goal is to let them happen or to 'help' them happen on my eternal quest to tell beautiful stories.

 

ON LIFE

All I can hope for is that as my daughter grows up she can confidently travel the world and hear the phrase, "I know your Dad – He's a good man!"
